The State We're In

14-05-2009

Cathryn MertenCathryn and Peter Merten were brought together by destiny and a couple of errant cases of chicken pox. They married, had two kids and a life that seemed to be going according to plan....except that it didn't. A portrait of a love story where boy gets girl, boy marries girl, boy splits up with girl, and then they become friends.

I was completely educated on the Collaborative Divorce process. It was a great interview listening to both sides of "THEIR" story and hearing how closely they paralleled each other. Great interview!! Thank you.

It was really good to hear about a divorce process that is productive rather than destructive. What I especially liked about this piece is how you crafted it so that Cathryn and Peter appeared to tell their story in close parallel, while clearly remaining distinct individuals. Very satisfying. Thank-you.

Cathryn and Peter totally embraced the Collaborative Process and allowed us to help them create a family dynamic that satisfies their family's dynamics. Good work Cathryn and Peter !
