Chilean president visits Netherlands

Chilean President Michelle Bachelet begins a three-day state visit to the Netherlands on Monday. Ms Bachelet is in the country on the invitation of Queen Beatrix, who went on an official trip to Chile in 2003. Ms Bachelet's itinerary includes visits to the parliament buildings in The Hague and the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam. She will also lay a wreath at the war memorial on Amsterdam's Dam Square. A visit to Wageningen University, a leading European life sciences institution, will focus on food production and security.
