Third daughter for Dutch royal couple
Princess Máxima, the wife of the heir apparent to the Dutch throne, has given birth to her third child, and - once again - the couple have a daughter. Both mother and daughther are reported to be doing well.
The new princess was born late in the evening of Tuesday 10 April at the Bronovo Hospital in The Hague.

Her father, Prince Willem-Alexander, the eldest son of Queen Beatrix, was at the birth and presented the latest addition to his female-dominated family early on Wednesday morning.
'Model' baby
He commented that she was already a 'model baby' because she had slept almost solidly throughout the night.
The new royal baby, named Ariane Wilhelmina Máxima Inez, is fourth in line to the throne of the Netherlands after her father and two elder sisters, Princess Catharina Amalia (born in 2003) and Princess Alexia (born in 2005).
The baby was born at approximately 2200 on Tuesday evening, weighed in at just over four kilogrammes and measured 52 centimetres.
Grandmother visits
Queen Beatrix went to visit her new grandchild shortly after the birth, and Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende was also quick to publicly congratulate the royal couple in a short television address. It was also reported that news of the birth of the new Dutch princess had been greeted with enthusiasm in the home country of Princess Maxima, Argentina.

Congratulations to the Royal Family for greeting the third female child in the family, happily. I feel happy to note the real joy on the face of the Prince on the birth of his third daughter. This sight is unknown in India where female foeticide is rampant and the heir is always the male child.
